Pumpkin Banana Fall Cookies for Dogs
These fall dog cookies are easy to make and contain only 5 simple ingredients that your dog will love.
Ingredients:
1 Banana
½ cup Pumpkin Puree (unsweetened, pure pumpkin only)
1 Large egg
1 ¾ cup Whole Wheat Flour
2-3 Tablespoons Creamy Peanut Butter (only ingredient is peanuts, does not have xylitol or sugars)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mash the banana with a fork until it is smooth.
Add the mashed banana, pumpkin puree and egg to a large mixing bowl and stir until fully combined.
Add 1 tablespoon of peanut butter to the mixing bowl.
Gradually pour in the flour while stirring until the ingredients are fully blended. The mixture should form a dough-like texture.
Use a cookie scooper or spoon to place small 1 tablespoon sized balls of dough on the cookie sheet, leaving about 1-2 inches between each dough ball.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-28 minutes, or until the cookies have turned slightly golden on top.
Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer the cookies to a wire cooling rack.
Allow the cookies to cool completely.
Place 1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter in a disposable sandwich bag and clip the corner so you can use it as a piping bag.
Pipe the peanut butter on each cookie in whatever design you desire to add some “frosting” to your dog’s special fall treats.
Store cookies in a container in the fridge for 7 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
